Terms of use
Last updated October 8, 2026
These terms cover the Writerphernalia website and the apps Storyphernalia and Journalography. The seller and operator is Eric Joyce, a sole proprietor in Alabama, doing business as Writerphernalia (“we”, “us”). By using the site or the apps, you agree to these terms.
Using the apps
You may use the apps for any lawful personal or professional writing. Everything you write belongs to you. We claim no rights to it, and we never see it.
Early access and purchases
The apps are currently free while in early access, and features may change as they improve. When a one-time purchase becomes available, the price will be shown before you buy, and our refund policy will apply.
Your data and backups
Your writing is stored only on your own device. You are responsible for keeping backups. The apps offer backup files and reminders to help. We can’t recover writing that is lost because a device is lost, damaged or reset, or because browser data is cleared.
No warranty
The apps are provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We work hard to make them reliable, but we can’t promise they will be free of errors or always available.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, including lost writing or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in question.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, USA.
Changes
We may update these terms. If we do, we’ll change the date above. Questions are welcome on our contact page.
