Picture cards to share

Turn any quote into a picture in four looks: Parchment, Midnight, Sage and Rose. On a phone it opens the share sheet; on a computer it saves the picture.

Favorites and reflections

Keep the quotes that speak to you, and the few words you wrote about them. Your reflections sit right beside the quote that prompted them. Everything is kept safe with daily snapshots and a backup file, and you can export it all as text.

Questions

Good questions, plain answers

What does “Quotephernalia” mean?

Paraphernalia are the small, useful things that go with a pursuit. Quotephernalia is a pocketful of the best things ever written, every one checked word for word against its original source, with a fresh one waiting each morning.

Where do the quotes come from?

270 are from the King James Version of the Bible and 178 are from public-domain classics: Shakespeare, Marcus Aurelius, Thoreau, Franklin, Emerson, Seneca, Lincoln, Epictetus, Aesop, Longfellow, Confucius and others. Each was checked word for word against its source, and the source is shown with every quote.

Is it a religious app?

It can be as much or as little as you like. In Settings, choose Scripture only, classic wisdom only, or both. The daily quote, “Another quote”, themes and search all follow that choice.

Will I see the same quote twice?

Not for a long time. The daily quote follows a fixed order with no repeats for 448 days (270 days with Scripture only, 178 with classics only), and everyone sees the same quote on the same date.

Is it private?

Yes. Your favorites and reflections are stored only in your browser, on your own phone or computer. They’re never uploaded anywhere. There’s no account and no advertising, and the app has no analytics, so there’s no one to share them with.

Does it work offline?

Yes. After your first visit, Quotephernalia opens and saves without an internet connection. Adding it to your home screen makes it feel just like any other app.

What happens after the free trial?

You can use everything in Quotephernalia free for 14 days. After that, unlock it to keep every feature. Your favorites and reflections are never locked away: you can always open, export and back them up. One payment unlocks it for good on that device, and the key works on your other devices too.

What happens if I get a new phone?

Your favorites and reflections live on the device you use, so they won’t move over by themselves. Before you switch, open Settings and save a backup: one file holding everything. Keep it in iCloud Drive or Google Drive, or email it to yourself.

On the new phone, open the app, go to Settings, choose Restore, and pick that file. Restoring merges with what’s already there and never erases it.

How much will it cost?

Quotephernalia is $4.99, one time, with no subscription. Try it free for 14 days first. No account or card needed for the trial.

What do I need to use it?

Just a web browser: Safari on iPhone or iPad, Chrome on Android, or Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox on a computer. There’s nothing to download from an app store.

Today’s quote is waiting.

Open it with your morning coffee. It takes a minute, and it stays with you all day.
